VISITATION OF THE SICK
MINISTERING TO THE HOMEBOUND
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
This ministry connects the Parish community with parishioners who are homebound for any reason. When requested, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion visits on a regular basis for communion, prayer and companionship.
Communion to the Homebound brings the Eucharist to permanently homebound parishioners and residents of local nursing homes. Its members are compassionate, caring and willing to take communion to parishioners that are unable to come to Mass. A Homebound Minister must first be trained as a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
HOMEBOUND OR SICK?
If you know of a parishioner that is homebound or sick, please call the church office or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. The spiritual needs of our sick, homebound, hospitalized, and institutionalized parishioners are very important to us here at Saint Thomas Aquinas. We would like to keep them in prayer, provide pastoral visits, and make sure they have full access to the sacraments.
